Lake observations: The lake water is warming up. The samples were taken under cloudy skies. The winds were calm. Algae is common, mostly below the water surface. The water is very green, so algae is growing. Aquatic vegetation looks healthy. Nitrites (NO2-N), total nitrate (NO3-N) and Phosphate (PO4-) were not detectable. The lake level is normal. It rained early this morning approximately a tenth on an inch. Dallas County is not in drought conditions, and rain is in the forecast for the next several days.
