Lake observations: The water has cooled off quite a bit. The samples were taken under clear skies. The winds were very light out of the SSW at two mph. Algae is absent. The nitrites and phosphate test strips have expired. I decided not to get more. The results consistently showed no nitrates or phosphates. If something unusual shows up in other tests, I’ll get more test strips and see if we have a problem with nitrates or phosphates. The lake water level is normal. We are not currently under any drought conditions.

Two days ago, we received about seven-tenths of an inch of rain. The personal weather station just north of the lake (Rusdell near MacArthur) recorded .62 inches. The personal weather station just south of the lake (Lake Gardens Dr near Ruby) recorded .73 inches. Everything in and on the lake appears healthy.
