Lake Clean Up - Saturday, April 6th

SATURDAY, April 6th

8:00 A.M. TO 1:00 P.M.

Meet at Cypress Cove Park, 1900 Diamond Lane (and Rusdell)

• 8:00 to 8:30 - sign in, have Chick-Fil-A breakfast, fruit cups, coffee, tea and chat with friends and neighbors

• 8:30 to 12:30 - gather trash, litter, and debris from around the lake

• 12:30 to 1:00 - Mr. Jim's Pizza (pepperoni, sausage, and cheese pizza)

• The ILA will provide as many gloves clean-up materials as possible. We are asking our volunteers to bring their tools and gloves.

• The Keep Irving Beautiful will provide trash bags, gloves, vests, and landfill access.

Needed:

• Lots of volunteers with boats

• You can partner up or walk designated areas if you don't have a boat.

• Suggest wearing long-sleeved clothes and boots and bringing a great attitude!

• Students seeking community service hours are welcome.

• Planting trees is encouraged at the park. If you have any small trees growing where they shouldn't be, bring them, and we will plant them at the park. If you wish to purchase a small tree, that would also be nice. (It must be a Texas native tree)

If you can't make it Saturday, please pick and clean a section between now and April 6th.
